Men's Football
The Swans men trace their history back to the Crushers of the reborn Tamworth AFL in 1997, winning the inaugural Premiership and following that up in 1999, 2006 and 2009. In recent years they were Grand Finalists in 2020, and qualified for the major semi-final before COVID interrupted the 2021 season. In 2022 the Swans were Minor Premiers and first qualifiers for the Grand Final.
Women's Football
Joining the growing AFL North West NSW women's competition in 2019, the Swans have been a developing force, making a preliminary final in their first year, a Grand Final in their second, and finals again in 2021 before the season ended prematurely. In 2022 the Swans were narrowly beaten in the Preliminary Final.
Junior Football
Junior football in Tamworth is played under the banner of the Roosters, a collaboration between the Tamworth Kangaroos and the Swans.
